The Garfield Sampler

This is probably a lot more fun than it should be. It takes panels from the comic strip "Garfield" and posts three of them at random, as if they were a regular strip.

Most of them almost make sense, and some of them are actually funny. (At least, funny in the Far Side sense of "What does that mean?") And this is perhaps what makes it semi-compulsive: they make sense just often enough to tempt you to try again.

Hello Fenris,
Thanks for the nice comment on my blog “the Norad Event”,
I liked that ending also, plus it had a double twist to it,
our dogs saved us, as we all know they would, and I gave a backslap to cats, I don’t care for cats much, unless of course their just sitting on your lap doing nothing. Cats can’t be trained at all, and once they learn how to jump on the kitchen counter, you end up with cat hair in every meal you eat, but they do purr nicely.
Since you left me a note on my blog, I thought I’d look a little deeper into yours, since the last note I left. All I can say
is WOW, you are a reader, I think you’ve read more books in the last 4 months than I have in the last 10 years, you must read a paragraph at a time, instead of one word at a time. I don’t like reading much, prefer the visual medium of movies.
However on Sundays I always read garfield and opus…that’s about as ‘deep’ as I get now adays.. Heinland was usually good, what was it years ago?, “lucky star and his adventures”, I think it was written under the name Paul French, not sure tho.., my memory chips are fading…
I’d like you to read a post I did in July, if you don’t mind,
It’s called “Guardians”, you’ll know why I suggested it after reading it…
Lifer or just a couple of tours?
Electronics tech? huh? Boy you got the right field for this day and age.. what with all the 1s & 0 s running around…
Starting a new ‘series’ with Sigmarr on Thursday, about five parts I think, it’s 15 pages of 8 1/2x 11, which is a big WOW
for me, if I can get 1 page filled with a story or something I
feel pretty good, so 15 pages is major, major stuff to me…
Well, I’m sure you want to get some cot time, so I’ll end here, stop by anytime and let me know what you think of my stories, there’s always tea and cookies for visitors, earl grey of course, you bring the cookies, I like double
chocolate chip….
….stay safe

Hey, Bob!

I'm a dog person myself, probably for the same reasons you mention. (Most cats' attitude towards humans seems to be that they don't want their servants to be too casual with them, if you know what I mean.)

You say you're not a reader, but you are a writer, which is much cooler; it's the difference between producing and consuming, after all. I am plowing into your blog and I keep finding more stuff that I like.

(And more Sigmarr work is coming? Excellent! I am looking forward to it.)
